What types of migraine can AQUIPTA help prevent?1

Episodic migraine

Adults who get 4–14 migraine days per month.

Chronic migraine

Adults who experience ≥15 headache days per month with ≥8 migraine days.*

*Monthly headache days refer to any day a headache occurs, while monthly migraine days refer to days that specifically meet the criteria for a migraine attack.

How does AQUIPTA work?3–6

Your body naturally produces a protein called calcitonin gene-related peptide, or CGRP, which is believed to play an important role in migraine attacks.

When CGRP levels rise and bind to the receptors, they can contribute to the pain and inflammation associated with migraine. AQUIPTA works by blocking the CGRP receptors, helping to prevent migraine attacks before they happen.

By taking a tablet once daily, even when you are not experiencing a migraine, you can help keep migraine attacks away. Some people may notice improvements within the first week, while for others, the effects of AQUIPTA may build gradually over 12 weeks or longer.1,2
